Doing the Most Good Luncheon
What is The Salvation Army mean to you? Putting money in the red kettle when you hear the bell ring during Christmas or shopping at the thrift store. Perhaps you have chosen a needy child’s wish list off the Angel Tree to buy gifts for at the mall.
The Salvation Army is a corps community center, three shelters and a resource of social services for the homeless here in Austin and we need your help to move people from crisis to stability. There is a whole team of people here to help and programs to support families and children who are struggling with being homeless: housing, job placement programs, counseling, childcare and educational training.
What are you doing for lunch on the first Friday in May? On Friday, May 3, 2013 from 11:15a-1p sharp, the Doing the Most Good Luncheon will be held at the AT&T Executive Conference Center at The University of Texas. We are proud to announce a special guest performance by Ricky Skaggs and Sarah Jarosz. We invite you to become a part of changing people’s lives.
