Family Services
The Salvation Army Family Services has been serving the Central Texas community for more than 122 years. Our goal is to provide clients with resources that help them transition into stable housing and increased income levels. More specifically, services provided to low-income families and individuals include: emergency food support, lodging, clothing, furniture, transportation and rental assistance.
Each Family Services Center houses a food pantry that serves locally. These pantries partner with other nonprofit organizations and food wholesalers for large-scale community distributions. These distributions occur seasonally, and increase proportionally to the need in a community. In addition, Family Services also host the following seasonal programs: utility payment assistance, Easter basket distribution, Mother’s Day baskets, back to school supplies, job fairs, Christmas toy & food distributions, Angel Tree and Adopt-A-Family.
