Children’s Golf Classic
Who can you turn to in a crisis – if you lost your job or your car? What if you have no family or friends to rely on, and nowhere else to go? Let’s face the truth, anyone can become homeless, and especially in this economy.
In downtown Austin, The Salvation Army Social Service Center is the front door to those who need safety, food and shelter. There is a whole team of people ready to help and programs to support families and children who are struggling with homelessness: counseling, job placement, childcare assistance, tutoring, bus passes and a temporary housing program. The Salvation Army is here to move people out of crisis and into stability. We need your help.
The benefit tournament is on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 11:30a – 6:30p at the Avery Ranch Golf Course. Contact Jamille_Ruebsahm@uss.salvationarmy.org to make your reservation. All proceeds go to benefit the family and children services at The Salvation Army Social Service Center.
Volunteers are invited to mainly assist on golf course, set-up, and break-down signage. Bring a hat and chair as you will mainly be on the green.
